The Sports Quiz 2017 took place on 8 March at The Grange, St. Pauls in London. Hosted by broadcaster, John Inverdale, there were classic quiz rounds alongside some surprises, including video questions from football superstar, Neymar Jr, and athletics legend Greg Rutherford. The event was attended by Right To Play's sporting Ambassadors Mike Tindall, Crista Cullen, Mark Hunter and Derek Redmond.

The generosity of our guests meant the evening raised £124,000 towards our life-changing work, enabling over 4,000 children to take part in our play-based activities for a year.

How your support helps

Since 2016, guests at the Sports Quiz have raised over £240,000 to fund our life-changing work with children. This is thanks to the generosity of our amazing supporters and Sports Quiz guests.

Every week the lives of over one million children are being transformed as they play Right To Play games and learn to bring about positive change. Right To Play runs play-based education programmes in a range of countries and environments around the world including 52 refugee camps, from Jordan to Ethiopia. Our weekly play activities provide essential psychological healing and education for children traumatised by conflict in these regions. The activities they benefit from are led by the thousands of local community leaders and teachers, trained by Right To Play as volunteer coaches. They all rely on funds raised by events like the Sports Quiz.  Your support makes this vital work possible.
