Right To Play UK
We have recently signed up two new athlete ambassadors. They are freerunner Sebastien Foucan and skier Chemmy Alcott. Sebastien is the founder of free running - a physical art, in which participants attempt to pass all obstacles in their path in a smooth and fluid way. Sebastien also starred in the opening sequence of the latest James Bond movie, Casino Royale. Chemmy is the UK's #1 downhill skier. She has been National Champion 5 times and came 13th at the last Winter Olympics in Turin.
Our ambassadors are crucial in spreading the word of Right To Play and representing the charity at fundraising events. Both Sebastien and Chemmy are very keen to be involved however they can and both will be taking part in the Nikon project where they will be asked to photograph their sporting lives for a whole year. The photos will be exhibited in November and auctioned in aid of Right To Play. We look forward to seeing their photos and working with them in the future.
South African triathlete, Hendrik de Villiers, has today 13th September pledged his support to the charity Right To Play by becoming an athlete ambassador.
The winner of London Tri 2006, who will compete this weekend in the World Cup series in Beijing, has joined forces with Right To Play as they strive to help build life skills and improve health among children in disadvantaged areas around the world.
Global charity Right To Play is pleased to announce today (7/09/2007) that London Wasps and Samoan international rugby player, Daniel Leo has joined as an athlete ambassador.
On the field, Leo, in his two seasons with London Wasps, has made a huge impact, helping the team become European Champions as well as domestic trophy winners.
