129 million girls are out of school.

By saving a girl’s seat, you're empowering her with the confidence, knowledge, and safe space she needs for success.

Support girls in Tanzania and around the world to take charge of their future.

Donate now and the UK government will double every pound you give.

Just £30 could save a girl’s seat in school for a full academic year.

Three-quarters of children denied their seat in school are girls. In many countries, girls who do attend school are much less likely to graduate than boys. To millions of girls across the world, a seat in school is everything.

A seat in school is a safe space for a girl to learn and play.
A seat gives her the power to resist exploitation, violence and discrimination.
A seat is the key to unlocking her confidence and taking charge of her own life.

It’s not just a seat. It’s her future.

Help girls like Judith

“Girls should be supported to realise their dreams.”

Judith had hopes for much more in life than just early marriage, but with schools closed, her parents thought that having her “cut” and then married off was the best option for her.

With the support of a Right To Play-trained teacher and school club, she was able to stand up against genital mutilation and protect herself and her sister from this harmful practice. She continued her education and did so well in her exams that she qualified to go to university – the first person in her family to do so.

Right To Play gave Judith a lifeline that many other girls in rural Tanzania do not have. In the Mara region, a staggering 42% of girls aged 14-17 are out of school. With your help, we can save a seat for more girls like Judith – creating more safe spaces for girls to learn, improving education opportunities, and training more teachers to support girls to achieve their dreams.

Save Her Seat and help more girls take charge of their future.
